Ion Barbu Highschool

Our school bears the name of the great mathematician Dan Barbilian, using his literary pseudonym Ion Barbu.

Since 1960 (when the school was funded), our highschool was involved in many activities and competitions, like school olympics, projects and relations with schools from other countries.

The International Fair of Science

The International Fair of Science took place on the 19th of March 2008, during Earth Day. It's purpose was to revive the interest of students for science with the help of real and virtual experiments.

We had the following sections:

- real experiments for I-VIII grades

- real experiments with signal acquisition for IX-XII grades

- virtual experiments with ppt presentation

The entire Fair of Science was coordinated by professor Marcela Niculae.
